Derochie Painting started with one man, a paintbrush, and a determination to do things the right way. What began as a small operation in Coaldale has grown into one of Western Canada’s most trusted painting companies—all thanks to Frank Derochie’s vision and hard work.
Honoring the Past, Building the Future
A Vision That Started in 1979
Frank was born in Calgary, AB, and graduated from high school to then continue his education further at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, completing the chef’s program. Frank worked with his father for a few years before establishing his own successful painting company (Frank Derochie Painting Ltd.) that was founded in Coaldale, AB in 1979.

Frank from the beginning took pleasure in entertaining family and friends, which easily transitioned into becoming a well-respected businessman in regards to the handling of customers and vendors. His hard work ethic and determination helped put Derochie Painting on the map and quickly turned it into one of the fastest-growing painting companies in Southern Alberta.
